Job Description:
.      Wyser is the international company within Gi Group in charge of searching for and selecting specialized middle and senior management. We are looking for a "Procurement and Operations Manager" to one of our clients in the Freight Forwarding industry.
       Procurement and Operations Manager will be responsible for the execution of all operations tasks within the Station on time and on the plan to support our Customer's success. Has direct people responsibility for the IMP and EXP Ocean Operational teams within the Station. At the same time managing Ocean Product/Procurement team to procure the best possible rates and support sales with creating solutions towards customers.  
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Execution – Responsible for the execution of all operations tasks on time and on the plan to support customers' success in a lean and cost-efficient manner; Ensuring team adheres to the standard process and customer-specific IOP’s and monitors respective KPI’s. Ensuring good collaboration with operations team based in India where part of the process is outsourced. Follow lean methodology and use lean tools (e.g. huddles). To define, communicate and execute the operation strategy in the cluster/region in support of global and regional objectives.
Standard Processes – Implementation of standard processes and systems within the district and ensuring documentation is in place; Accountable for the implementation of The Standard = The Standard within the station. Ensuring good collaboration with operations team based in India where part of the process is outsourced.
Performance Management – Manage the performance of the operational activities in the Station. Focus efforts on tasks that will ultimately result in improvements to performance in the key priority areas of: Profitability, Growth and Operational Excellence. Ensure that appropriate operational, commercial and financial KPI’s are employed across the region to provide timely and effective reporting to the management.
Product Profitability - Focus on maximize the revenue and GP through upselling and cost management.
People Management - Coach, motivate and build a high performing team. Lead by example, inspire and energize their team; Support on-boarding new members; Set clear objectives and guide team to achieve targets and performance standards; Attract, develop and retain talent. Assure mindset in the team is appropriate. Provide leadership support to the ocean teams in the region, driving the smooth execution of product management whilst ensuring high employee morale and motivation.
Customer Relationship Management - Actively build strong relationships with customers; Own customer experience. Promote Network to support sales in bringing up more opportunities and help them addressing customer queries
Product development – manage ocean product/procurement team in order to get competitive rates from carriers and support sales in creating value proposition towards customers.
